TIPS FOR smoking weed with the hot shot
If you smoke alone, you may need to change the way you pack your bowls for the HOT SHOT to work best
Your weed must stay lit and produce smoke to fill the “shot glass” between tokes. Depending upon your bud, a mix of coarse and fine ground often works just fine.
Won’t stay lit or not enough smoke? Maybe add a bit of kief to the mix. Or, stick in some hash – a small ball or perhaps a slender pillar running from the bottom to the top of the bowl.
If you pass your HOT SHOT, keeping it lit is not an issue but you will want to load the bowl with bud that produces plenty of smoke. Again, adding kief or hash is an attractive option and shows what the HOT SHOT can do.
Adjust the draw by loosening or tightening the “shot glass”. Loosen to get more draw; tighten less draw. You will see that adjusting the draw also changes the way the smoke moves inside the “shot glass”.
Use caution handling the hot glass bowl.
These tips, with some trial and error, will get you going strong.
TIPS FOR SMOKING HASH WITH THE HOT SHOT
For softer hash or kief, use the bowl.
For solid hash, attach it to the two pins of the insert and place the insert into the 14mm hole. The shape and size of the hash chunk can affect how well it burns.
A traditional method is to use a cube or ball, sized according to the length of your session. Another effective shape is a deformed pyramid—thicker at the bottom and thinner at the top while maintaining the same width. Insert the thick end and light the thin end. This shape burns steadily, producing moderate smoke over a longer period.
The "burning hand" shape features a slightly thicker base with multiple thin "fingers" extending upward. Insert the "wrist" and light the fingertips. This shape burns quickly and produces a dense, intense amount of smoke.
